An untouched wilderness area of 650 ha for game viewing on old farm roads. State-of-the-art security and perimeter fencing is specifically designed for the estate so as to not detract from the abounding natural beauty. The variety of birds range from the tiny waxbills to the powerful eagles and vultures which soar the great African sky. Night animals include owls, bushbabies, aardvark, genets and civets, to name a few. The wilderness is rich in vegetation and natural flora which is left untouched to ensure the environment remains healthy and well balanced. Our game farm manager is meticulous in his work in protecting the farm, its inhabitants and the perimeters. Many good dirt roads have been created for your game driving pleasure, passing the scattered waterholes where you can view the animals taking a cool drink or a fun mud bath. The wilderness area has excellent walking or cycling paths as well as horse riding paths. The winding Sandspruit River attracts much activity from the wildlife, which can entertain you on your walk or horse ride. The Zandspruit Bush Camp facility is there for you to use when entertaining family and friends. The boma provides a full kitchen and braai facility and is situated on the banks of the Sandspruit River where you can marvel at the magnificent African sunset views. In conjunction with various specialists, our game farm manager is involved in a variety of conservation projects on the Estate, which aid the study of endangered animals. His work also extends to the natural vegetation on the property, ensuring that the vegetation is protected from destruction and ensuring the natural balance is maintained.
