Tshukudu Private Game Reserve borders the world renowned Greater Kruger National Park and combines home comforts with the exciting Big 5 safari experience (Lion, Rhino, Elephant, Leopard and Buffalo). The lodge has magnificent views of the Drakensberg Mountains and offers close encounters with some of the rehabilitated orphaned animals in their natural habitat. We offer a large list of activities, with morning bush walks as well as morning and afternoon game drives in open four-wheel-drive vehicles to name a few. Since we opened in 1980, Tshukudu has restocked many other reserves in South Africa with wild animals and have been actively involved in the rehabilitation of orphaned animals back to the wild. We are involved in the public education and environmental awareness of our natural heritage, offering programs that allows participants to partake in daily conservation. At Tshukudu we pride ourselves in recycling, which has resulted in 50% of our waste being recycled and used in a variety of sustainable ways. Our amenities are refilled with Rooibos & Honey products, supplied by local suppliers with a commitment to sustainability. And last but not least, most vegetables and herbs present in our mouth watering meals are grown in our very own gardens.
