It is here where you will find the exclusive Shumbalala Game Lodge managed by a team with a friendly yet professional approach to their guests, also overseen by the family themselves. After having the privilege to acquire Shumbalala Game Lodge as a close knit family some years ago the owners rebuilt the original lodge to cater for discerning travelers in true luxury whilst keeping in line with timeless Africa. Since then continuous renovations and improvements ensures that guests needs and expectations of high quality are catered for at all times. As owners it is our pleasure to share this blessing and absolute gem with you whilst realizing the responsibility and importance of our conservation and our eco system alike. It is our pleasure to introduce the heart and soul of Shumbalala Game Lodge. At Shumbalala we value everyone, mostly you as our guest but also every member of the team. My favorite and most popular dishes are curries, oxtail and lamb shank. These ladies are at your service and am responsible for your immaculate room which is serviced three times per day. Onicah and Suzen has been the longest standing family members, dating back since before Shumbalala has been revamped in 2001 while Shielah is the newest member to the family! Raymond & Isack ensures that the gardens remain in perfect condition and that all maintenance are of top standard to ensure that you, our guest have a care-free holiday. They are continually in argument with the warthogs who considers Shumbalala their preferred bathing and grazing destination! Chef Danielle and her team Jeanette and Maggy does not only have a passion for food but also a passion for pleasing our guests. Due to our logistics dietary requirement are communicated beforehand and we can cater for most preferences, likes, dislikes, allergies and religious requirements except kosher. We use the freshest ingredients and best cuts of meat to ensure that you receive only the best. Your day will start with a quick coffee and snack before you leave on your morning game drive. Upon your return to the lodge you will be treated to a full Continental and English breakfast with a daily special. Our braai (BBQ) evenings is a special occasion and offers a true South African experience. Our chefs plan the menu's daily to offer you the freshest ingredients and prime cut meats and we like to keep meals simple but scrumptious. While keeping in mind that dietary requirements are to be communicated in advance, our chefs strive to please all preferences, likes and dislikes too.
