What you should know about Nyala Safari Lodge
Nyala Safari Lodge offers self-catering accommodation, including 2 game drives per day with an accredited and fully qualified Ranger. Our self-catering package includes the accommodation, use of all facilities, daily housekeeping & kitchen cleaning, tea & coffee, two game drives per day. Our Rangers are accredited and fully qualified and thus ensure that the Guests receive excellent, informative, as well as highly entertaining game drives. All aspects of the Fauna & Flora found in the Reserve is covered in great detail to complete the Safari Experience. Isaac, our Safari Guide sometimes takes pictures with his cell phone. Think it is time that we get him a proper camera to update us every day with the sightings The African wild dog is an endangered species, one of the most threatened carnivores in the world. After dramatic population decline over the past years, the African wild dog is now the second most endangered carnivore (after the Ethiopian wolf), and the most endangered in sub-Saharan Africa. Nyala Safari Lodge provides a family safari experience for families with children of all ages, from babies and toddlers to teenagers. Although children are allowed on the game drives it remains the discretion of the ranger at the time of the game drive. Small children must remain quiet on drives so as to not inconvenience other guests and other game drives as well as for the safety of the children and the rest of the people in the game drive vehicle. We want to bring the check-in and check-out times under our guest’s attention again. Arrivals after 16:00 will result in guest losing out on their first evening game drive We urge our guests to plan ahead and always arrive during daylight. Driving at night is in the first place potentially dangerous with the conditions our countries roads are in and driving inside the reserve on the smaller dirt roads between bushes and animals roaming are extremely stressful.
